Rotterdam – June 5th: umob is excited to announce a new partnership with Dott, the European leader in shared micro-mobility, to integrate its fleet into the umob app. This collaboration starts as of this month in Utrecht with 1000 electric bikes— One of Dott’s current operating cities in the Netherlands.
The partnership underscores umob’s commitment to building smarter, cleaner, and more people-centric cities. By connecting users to Dott’s reliable and eco-friendly vehicles via the umob app, residents and visitors in Utrecht will enjoy greater freedom and flexibility in their commuting.
“At umob, our mission is to simplify urban mobility while reducing environmental impact,” said Bibi Jorissen, CEO of umob. Dott’s vision of pollution-free cities designed for people, not cars, aligns perfectly with our values. As the largest shared micro-mobility provider in Europe following its merger with TIER, Dott brings an unmatched scale and expertise to our platform.
This integration also fits within a recently launched project where citizens of Amersfoort are welcomed to try out shared mobility services subsidized by the municipality of Utrecht. Together, the involved parties ensure that shared mobility is accessible across all areas of the city. This project will continue for the upcoming 4 years.
“We are proud to contribute to umob’s sustainability efforts to further connect public transport and shared micro-mobility in Utrecht. With this partnership, residents and visitors will enjoy a clean and easy-to-use micro-mobility solution,” added Maxim Romain, President and Co-Founder at Dott.
The launch also supports broader initiatives across the Netherlands and the EU to shift towards greener mobility. With this partnership, umob and Dott aim to pave the way for scalable, inclusive solutions that meet the evolving mobility needs of European citizens.
